💜 Thank You, City of Memphis MPLOY Summer Interns! 💜
As our summer internship comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible City of Memphis MPLOY interns for spending your summer with Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Memphis at both of our locations.
Over the weeks, you did more than complete an internship—you became part of the ADS Memphis family. You built meaningful connections with our Friends through conversations, activities, laughter, and acts of kindness. Your compassion and enthusiasm brought joy to each day, and many of our Friends looked forward to seeing you.
Along the way, you also gained valuable experience in a professional nonprofit environment, learning about teamwork, customer service, communication, professionalism, leadership, confidentiality, and the day-to-day business operations that help us serve individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Please join us in recognizing these outstanding interns:

The numbers tell a powerful story.
While deaths from heart disease have decreased, Alzheimer’s disease continues to rise at an alarming rate. Every statistic represents a person, a family, and a community affected. Let’s keep raising awareness, supporting caregivers, and working toward a future without Alzheimer’s. 💜
Together, we can make a difference.

Her unwavering commitment helped shape our organization, strengthen our mission, and bring hope to countless individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as the families who love and care for them.
During our 2026 Forget Me Not Luncheon, we were honored to present Ruthann Shelton with the 2026 Legacy Award in recognition of her visionary leadership, enduring commitment, and lifetime of service.
Her legacy lives on in every caregiver supported, every family served, and every life touched through the work of ADS.

During our Forget-Me-Not Luncheon, our keynote speaker invited one side of the room to say, “I choose to remember,” while the other responded, “Forget me not.”
Those words have stayed with us.
When this beautiful message appeared on our donation page, it reminded us why this work matters.
“To my mother who was a feisty little giant in her own right. I choose to remember.”
Every donation tells a story. Every gift honors a life. Every memory reminds us that love doesn’t end when memories begin to fade.
Thank you, Ela, for choosing to remember and for allowing your mother’s legacy to bloom through your generosity.
Who do you choose to remember?
