Lead, Follow, or Get Out of the Way! Planet GOP is a grassroots organization dedicated to electing Republicans at every level of government.

The group publishes an e-newsletter, a blog and keeps people informed via Facebook and Twitter @planetgop.

The beginnings of Planet GOP come from average rank and file Republicans, with different backgrounds and beliefs, coming together to create a loosely knit coalition of Republicans working together for the greater good. Planet GOP may be unusual in that it tries to be honest in its approach to reporting and informing people of the news of the day. Planet GOP offers news, opinion and insight to rank and file Republicans busy with their own lives of raising their kids and paying their taxes. The group is not so short-sighted as to believe that every Republican idea is good and every Democrat idea is bad. However, history has shown that freedom, liberty coupled with responsibility has been the formula for societal and personal success time and time again. Those principles govern the direction of the organization. Planet GOP is not simply in the business to denounce or attack Republicans who may hold differing opinions, if those opinions are based on facts and beliefs and not just political expediency or self-aggrandizement. Ronald Reagan said numerous times that a person who is with you 80% of the time is your ally…not your enemy. Both political parties’ have too many demagogues and loud mouths seeking to enrich themselves rather than trying to better our communities and our country. To be part of Planet GOP requires no litmus test, only the commitment to making our country and our world a better place to live. In the past, some of the writers and grassroots activist of Planet GOP have garnered the anger of those on both sides of the political spectrum. No one expects that to change.
