Introducing Honoree #4 of the 2026 Yellow Rose Brunch!

Dr. LaSonya Hall, Democratic Nominee for Shelby County Clerk , and 25+ Year Public Servant, and Proud Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Memphis Alumnae Chapter.

When the pandemic hit and Memphis needed leadership, Dr. LaSonya Hall answered the call. As Interim Shelby County Public Health Director during COVID-19, she led large-scale vaccination initiatives and guided our community through one of the most critical moments in modern history. That is just one chapter of a 25+ year career spent fixing broken systems, restoring public trust, and putting citizens first across workforce development, public works, parks, and community services.

Dr. Hall doesn't just serve government, she makes government work for the people.

We are proud and honored to celebrate her at the 5th Yellow Rose Brunch: Celebrating 5 Years of Black Excellence!

Presented by The Physical and Mental Health Committee of the Memphis Alumnae Chapter and the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee, this annual $3,000 scholarship is open to high school seniors in Memphis or Shelby County living with Sickle Cell Disease and who are planning to attend a four-year or two-year college this fall. .
