Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated is an international African American sorority dedicated to the advancement of their members’ personal and professional lives and one of the “Divine Nine”. The Omicron Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was founded in Memphis in 1937. A 1913 Folk Victorian home has served as their headquarters since 1957. The chapter has hosted many of their community service events at the house, including the Teen-Town program and “Rhomania”.

The Omicron Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on December 4, 2023.

We are in the process of trying to gain grants to restore and preserve the House.
