We're excited to share our scholarsβ participation in the Navy Esports grand reopening! Scholars from both PCAMS and PCAHS Hickory Hill took part in this incredible event, showcasing their talent, teamwork and enthusiasm.
Our scholars, along with teams from other schools, will compete against the Goats & Glory team in a range of popular video games. The Navy developed an esports team in 2020 to provide a platform for people to engage with sailors and learn more about opportunities with the Navy while sharing a mutual passion for gaming.
We are proud to see our students engaging in innovative opportunities that connect technology, leadership and career exploration. πͺ

Each of us has a moral obligation to leave our community better than we found it. Our schools offer authentic experiences for you to participate in community service, social entrepreneurship and community development. Collectively, our efforts transform under-resourced spaces into community hubs with effective schools at the center. We believe that every person can find hope and a life of lasting meaning through purposeful action.

Your ideas matter, and you have the right to be heard. Weβll educate you so you feel confident using your voice to speak up articulately and passionately in any setting, to anyone. Advocating boldly is the result of an education that trains your mind and heart, rooting passionate opinions in well-reasoned facts; balanced views of any issue; and the ability to listen. We believe the act of speaking out is liberating in itself.

Last week, our team had the honor of attending a signing day event, hosted by River City Partnership at the University of Memphis to celebrate Juliana Francisco! The River City Partnership is a collaboration between the UofM College of Education and schools like Gestalt, working to prepare culturally competent educators for the next generation of learners.
We're excited to see Juliana begin her journey this fall at Power Center Academy Elementary - Hickory Hill, and we're looking forward to her continued success as she makes a difference in the lives of our scholars and our community! π

π After 18 years of serving scholars in Memphis, we are preparing to expand our college and career model into Jackson, TN with two new charter schools - Gestalt North Jackson Academy and Gestalt East Jackson Academy!
Both schools will launch with kindergarten through second grade in their first year, then gradually expand to serve grades K-8, reaching a capacity of up to 720 scholars by our fifth year of operation.
Check out what our Village's leader, Yetta Lewis, had to say in this interview with The Tennessee Firefly: https://heyor.ca/dDQXwy
