A New Light Art Project @ Union & Main St. 6/24/16
from the creator of Crosstown Arts' Solar Lighting Public Art Installation by r salant
82-86 S Main: This project is the result of a grant from the Downtown Memphis Commission and the support of the property owners. This installation, in collaboration with Memphis artist Terance Brown, will breathe new life into this long vacant building, creating a virtual pulse and heartbeat, interactively stimulated by the presence or people near the building. I visited this spot to discuss an installation for
Ondine Geary’s Radius
Of Transmission. This is the final week of part 1, the installation, and this weekend is the only chance to catch parts 2 & 3, which are dances beginning at dusk. A magical project in Boulder, CO. I’ll post some pix & links.
