Dear MLK Parents and Students,

Today we formally handed off the building keys to Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Our office has relocated to Westside Middle School. It has been a true pleasure servicing the students of the Frayser community these past ten years. We look forward to what is to come at the future site of 1530 Dellwood Ave.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family over the past ten years. We deeply appreciate all your support and commitment to our school community. In an abundance of caution and due to safety concerns, MLK College Prep will be closed today, May 23rd. Although this is the official last day of the school year, ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Our office remain open from 8am-12pm for senior diploma and transcript pickup.

We understand that this closure may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school administration.

Thank you once again for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the new school year.

Happy Mother's Day to all of our MLK Families. We hope that you are enjoying your day on today. You are Appreciated!

Doors Open Soon! We will begin our program promptly at 6 p.m.

MLK Families, Please note that graduation takes place on a weekday (Thursday, May 9th). Please make arrangements to ensure that you are able to arrive on time to the program. We want everyone with a ticket to be able to gain entry into the sanctuary.

MLK College Prep High School in partnership with First Baptist Church-Broad protocols:
1. All bags must be clear. If you have a diaper bag, please make the necessary arrangements to pack according to the policy provided by the venue.
2. Security Check Upon Entry
3. No Flower or Balloons will be allowed inside of the church.
4. Children over the age of 1, must have a ticket to enter as well.
5. Streaming of Graduation Ceremony: First Baptist Broad Facebook and YouTube page.
6. Doors to the public will open at 4:45 p.m.
6. Doors will close at 5:50 p.m. (No Entry will be Provided.)

Message from the CEO: Dr. Bobby White:

We are happy that so many of the Frayser/MLK alumni have reached out and expressed a desire to spend some time in the building located at 1530 Dellwood one last time. After fielding your emails, texts, messages, and fb posts; Ms. Perry, the Principal of MLK, and I have decided on a date that both respects the alumni and affords us the opportunity to end the school year with the pride, professionalism, intellect, and integrity we always aim to personify as an organization, all while respecting the faculty, staff, and students who we are here to serve.

Frayser Community Schools will host the first official last walk through planned and designed for the alumni by Frayser Community schools on May 18th from 10 am -12 am. We understand that date may not be the best for everyone and so once we are no longer responsible for the building in June, Memphis Shelby County Schools has graciously also agreed to allow for an additional visit the first or second weekend of June(definitive day to be given in the next 2 weeks).
We look forward to seeing all of you on May 18th!

Please understand that the faculty and staff are taking their time out to provide FHS alumni with an opportunity to walk their school one additional time. Please be nice in your comments.
