Today, another dedicated team from LaSalle stepped forward to volunteer at our food mission, making a difference by preparing sandwiches to complement the hot meals they helped cook, proving that small groups of committed individuals can achieve great things together, staying productive from 8 am to 11 am.

LaSalle's latest group of volunteers brought their generosity and kindness to our food mission yesterday. They carefully packed bags of food and snacks for our neighbors, which were needed after hours. Working hand-in-hand with our chef, they helped serve a wholesome meal to 190 neighbors, reinforcing the bonds of community.

This week, St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission has the privilege of hosting LaSalle College High School students from Wyndmoor, PA, as volunteers from Tuesday to Friday. The group worked tirelessly to prepare, plate, and serve meals to 220 neighbors in need, and we've captured some moments from their service today.

I'm super thankful when I can rope these awesome guys into volunteering on a Saturday or Sunday at our St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission they are so great to work along side. Front left to right Ralph, Kendall our chef and on right Brennan. In back left is Carson and right is Johannes.

We're rallying around our St. Vincent de Paul Food Mission at 1306 Monroe, where generosity can make a real difference. They're in need of gently used men's T-shirts in medium, large, and extra-large sizes to provide for those who rely on our daily meals. Your contribution can help us serve with dignity. When donating, remember: if an item isn't worthy of your own closet, it's likely not worthy of theirs. You can drop off donations Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 1306 Monroe; simply head up the back stairs from the parking lot, where a team lead will assist you. Our St. Vincent de Paul Ozanam Center Food Mission has seen a significant increase in the number of people we serve. During the weekdays, we have gone from serving 200 to 250+ individuals, and on the weekends, from 130 to 160. The need continues to grow as more individuals and families find themselves in need of food.

They know they can come to us for a truly delicious hot meal six days a week, prepared by our chef and our dedicated volunteers. Our mission is not only to feed the hungry, but also to offer dignity, compassion, and hope to every person who walks through our doors.

Please pray that God continues to bless our ministry so that we may continue to bless our neighbors and meet the growing need in our community.

300 guests were served a full course hot meal today at our St, Vincent de Paul food mission. End of the month is not a good financial time for many. Thank you to Adult & Teen Challenge Rehabilitation of Memphis for sharing salad fixings and other veggies with us today.
