Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of African Americans to our communities and nation.

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, the Shelby County Division of Community Services and its offices will be closed. We encourage everyone to take time to reflect on the significance of this day and honor its history.

We wish you a safe and meaningful Juneteenth.
