Hi everyone! To start things off, I am 18 and I start college in a few weeks to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse! Mack and I at the St. Jude Walk to End Childhood Cancer back on September 26th! π
Mack was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at the end of last year. Because the cancer was so advanced, he had to have his right leg amputated. It has been 3 months since his amputation and he is doing great! Mack is also a MiKare Packages recipient. I was able to deliver him a package on September 27th, and have stayed in close contact with his mom. π

This sweet little boy is Gio. Gio was diagnosed with T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia back in February of this year. I first met Gio on Easter when my mom, grandma, cousin, and I were visiting families at the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis. Gio had a bone marrow transplant a few months ago, and he was unfortunately in the hospital on his birthday (September 26th). So because I was already at St. Jude for the walk that morning, I stopped by the bone marrow transplant floor to visit him and bring him some goodies from the walk! He loved giving me hugs it had his mom, his nurse, and I cracking up! We're all always keeping in contact, mainly through FaceTime! π
Gio was also a MiKare Packages recipient. ππ

I met Gio back on Easter this year, when my family and I were at the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis doing crafts with the families. He just had a bone marrow transplant, and has been in the hospital for almost a month now. Since his birthday is this Saturday (September 26th), I decided I'd make him a birthday care package! I went and gave it to his mom on Saturday, since he was in isolation. His momma sent me this picture, and I'm so glad he loved it! π π π

If you need someone to hold your hand, or a hug to say I care, for you I will be there. If you need a shoulder to cry on, for you I will be there. You're never alone, I'm always here, through the good times and the bad. I'm always here to be your friend. ππβ¨

Yesterday I went to my old elementary/middle school and my friend Megan and I did a little presentation on St. Jude and MiKare Packages! Then, the 5th graders made some cards for the care packages! The kids were so well behaved, very sweet, and listened very well! And they had so many questions about St. Jude, childhood cancer, etc. We had a blast!!
Thank you to Ms. Shiloh for letting us come and do this with y'all! βΊπ β

Hi everyone!
I am so sorry I haven't post anything on here yet! When I made the page, I was out in Phoenix. Then we left for Myrtle Beach, and now I am finally back home! Now that I have time to post on my page, I figured I would write a little bit about my care packages, and what we do!
To start things off, I am 18 and I start college in a few weeks to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse!
I started volunteering at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House of Memphis in October 2013. I was only planning on volunteering there once, but boy was I wrong. I ended up loving it so much so I decided I wanted to do something more. I decided that I actually wanted to go visit kids on a personal level, and help make their days brighter.
My very first recipient of my care packages (which at the time, I did not have a name) that I can actually very well remember was a sweet girl who is now more like a sister. Her name is Mary Elizabeth and she 12 years old and is fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I feel that because of her, she has helped me realize why I do these.
I make care packages, unique to each recipient, and I hand deliver them to each patient when I am in Memphis once, sometimes twice or more, a month.
If you are or someone you know is a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and are interested in a care package, please message me and I will get back to you ASAP!
