🚒💪🏽The Memphis Fire Department officially kicked off the “Rise & Grind” Fitness Challenge last Thursday morning at Fire Headquarters — and the energy was unmatched!
Command Staff and MFD personnel came together bright and early with one goal in mind: building a stronger, healthier department through fitness, teamwork, accountability, and consistency.
From walking and bodyweight exercises to encouraging one another every step of the way, this voluntary initiative is designed for ALL fitness levels and focused on creating healthier habits together.
This is only the beginning. We look forward to expanding the challenge throughout the department in the weeks ahead as we continue pushing each other to be stronger — physically and mentally.

🚑⭐As we recognize EMS Week, the Memphis Fire Department is proud to highlight members who were honored last week at the 2026 Star of Life Awards in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. CECA recognized the lifesaving efforts of Engine 37-B, Unit 27-B, and 201-B and Fire Communications Bureau (Team A).
These crews responded to a critical pediatric patient call where their quick actions, professionalism, and teamwork helped save a young life. We are grateful to share that the patient made a full recovery.
Each member was pinned during the ceremony in recognition of their lifesaving efforts, with Memphis Fire Department Command Staff in attendance to support the honorees.
This recognition serves as a reminder of the dedication, compassion, and service the men and women of the Memphis Fire Department display every day while caring for the citizens of Memphis. ❤️🚒
