It’s soup season!

CCS, CSP, CST, CLTS, CCOP and APS have us thinking about alphabet soup. What do all those Behavioral Health acronyms mean?

Let’s put some meaning behind those letters:
CCS is Comprehensive Community Services, a program that helps people work toward their mental health or substance use recovery goals.

CSP is the Community Support Program, which provides ongoing support for people living with serious mental health conditions.

CST is Coordinated Services Team, which brings families and providers together to plan support for a child.

CLTS is Children’s Long Term Services, and CCOP is the Children’s Community Options Program. Both help connect children with disabilities and their families to services that meet their needs.

APS is Adult Protective Services, which responds to concerns about abuse, neglect or financial exploitation involving older adults and adults with disabilities.

That’s a lot of letters. You don’t have to know which program fits before you reach out.

Child Support Online Services (CSOS) Login Is Changing

If you use CSOS for your child support or maintenance case, the login process is changing. Please take action before the end of the calendar year so you are ready when the new login process begins.

You will need a myWisconsin ID account to access CSOS. Your current CSOS logon ID will no longer work after the transition.

What you need to do now:
1. Update your contact information in CSOS. Make sure your email address, text capable phone number and mailing address are current.

2. Create a myWisconsin ID if you do not already have one. Go to apps.wisconsin.gov. On the MyWisconsin ID Sign In screen, look at the bottom of the page for “Don’t have an account?” and click “Sign up.”

When the new login process begins, you will use your myWisconsin ID along with a verification code sent by text or email, or generated through an app.

Please complete these steps before the end of the year to help avoid issues accessing CSOS after the transition.

How many years of service are in one reel?

We asked members of the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and Jail staff to show us how long they have been serving Dunn County.

Some are newer to the team. Others have been here for years. Together, those numbers represent a lot of experience, knowledge, dedication and service to our community.

Behind every number is a person who shows up, does the work and plays a part in keeping Dunn County running.

Thank you to our Sheriff’s Office and Jail staff for the years you have given to Dunn County, and for the work you continue to do every day.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

What began as a national Day of Unity in 1981 has grown into a month for communities to recognize the signs of abuse, listen to survivors and share ways to get help.

If someone tells you they are experiencing abuse, listen without judgment. Believe them, respect their choices and ask how you can support them. You do not need to have all the answers to let someone know they are not alone.

Help is available in Dunn County. The Bridge to Hope offers free, confidential support, advocacy and emergency shelter. Call its 24-hour hotline at 715-235-9074 or text 715-505-3640. www.thebridgetohope.org
