+ October 17th: Zombie Ride at Applegate Park from 10am to 3pm.
+ October 23rd-24th: Kiwanis Kiddieland Fright Night at Applegate Park from 5pm to 8pm.
+ October 23rd-25th: Zoo Boo at the Merced Applegate Zoo from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
+ October 24th: Police Department Cops for Critters at 611 W. 22nd St from 10am to 1pm
+ October 31st: Monster Mash Dash 5k/10k, at Lake Yosemite, beginning at 12pm.
+ October 31st: Graveyard Bash at Bob Hart Square.

Here are a couple of tips:
+ Buy your flights on a Tuesday.
+ Book your trip 35 days in advance

Now, these two things aren't guaranteed to save you money, BUT they are a common sweet spot for booking travel, so it's definitely a great place to start.

Investing in Merced.
Today, we joined Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria to recognize two significant one-time state investments in our community: $1.5 million toward a new ladder truck for the Merced Fire Department and $5 million toward the Bear Creek Infrastructure and Flood Protection project.
These one-time funds will help Merced strengthen public safety, protect critical infrastructure and invest in the long-term needs of our growing community.
Thank you, Assemblymember Soria, for your continued advocacy for Merced and for helping bring state resources back to our community.
