I had a fantastic time Saturday. We drove some of the older farm tractors from Merced to the Hopeton area along the Merced River. We stopped right next to the river under the towering oaks, prayed, and thanked God for the rich bounty he has bestowed on our Valley. We then all had a great lunch and drove back to Merced. We had over 30 tractors and other folks drove vintage trucks. You really get a good look the countryside at 14 MPH.

Casey Steed
Advocate/ Radio Journalist
Actions. Not words.
Local politicians often talk a big game: their support for public safety, their commitment to transparency and accountability, or their lofty plans for the future. But we should base our votes on actions, not words. I’m committed to preserving public safety because I’ve worked in law enforcement for 20 years. I’ll protect the public trust, because I’ve been a local radio journalist telling you the important stories about our local governments and how to hold them accountable. And as for the future, Honest people should be committing to priorities not outcomes. I promise to do everything in my power to ensure that we enjoy the best quality of life possible. It’s time to get serious about homelessness- with a combination of mental health resources and reasonable enforcement. It’s time to clean up our parks so families can feel safe there. And most of all, our neighborhoods must be safer and cleaner than ever. I have the long history in our community and the real world experience necessary to get things done. I will bring common sense leadership to fix Merced.
For years you’ve trusted me to tell you what’s really going on in Merced. Now, I’m asking you to trust me with your vote.

We had a great turnout at our Oktoberfest lunch event Friday. Special thanks to the ITALO lodge and Rich Palumbo. My kitchen crew headed up by Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke put on a meal fit for a king. My volunteers who helped with check in and the dessert auction were invaluable. Thank you all for being there for me.
