Our veterans have given their time, strength and dedication in service to our country. This Veterans Day, our community will come together to show our appreciation and honor their service. 🎖️

As we continue our countdown to the 22nd Annual Veterans Day Parade, Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria shares a message about the importance of recognizing and celebrating our veterans.

Join us in downtown Merced on Wednesday, November 11, for a day of community, gratitude and remembrance.

🔦 Program/Service Highlight Series

📞 Much of the work that supports our community happens behind the scenes, and our Telecommunications PBX Team plays an important role in helping HSA remain connected, responsive, and ready to serve.

When asked to describe the responsibilities of the PBX Team, one answer comes to mind: our clients. While their work may not always be visible, the services they provide help support the employees and programs that serve individuals and families throughout our community.

From managing telecommunications needs and troubleshooting issues to coordinating requests and following responsibilities through from start to finish, the PBX Team helps ensure our staff have the communication tools and support they need to carry out their work.

There are far too many responsibilities to list without turning this into a full-length novel, but their commitment is simple: supporting HSA so that HSA can support our community.

💙 Thank you to our Telecommunications PBX Team for the important work you do each day to keep HSA connected and our services moving forward.

📞 Gran parte del trabajo que apoya a nuestra comunidad ocurre detrás de escena, y nuestro Equipo de Telecomunicaciones PBX desempeña un papel importante para ayudar a que HSA se mantenga conectada, receptiva y preparada para servir.

Al pedir que describan las responsabilidades del equipo de PBX, se viene a la mente una respuesta: nuestros clientes. Aunque su trabajo no siempre sea visible, los servicios que brindan ayudan a apoyar a los empleados y programas que atienden a individuos y familias en nuestra comunidad.

Desde atender las necesidades de telecomunicaciones y resolver problemas, hasta coordinar solicitudes y dar seguimiento a las responsabilidades de principio a fin, el Equipo PBX ayuda a garantizar que nuestro personal cuente con las herramientas de comunicación y el apoyo necesarios para realizar su trabajo.

Hay demasiadas responsabilidades para enumerarlas todas sin convertir esto en una novela, pero su compromiso es sencillo: apoyar a HSA para que HSA pueda apoyar a nuestra comunidad.

👨‍👧‍👦 Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up with a capable, caring and supportive father. 💙

🎉 Celebrating 21 Years of Serving Fathers in Our Community!

For 21 years, All Dads Matter (ADM) has been supporting fathers in our community — and beyond! Through the years, ADM has remained committed to providing fathers with the support, encouragement, education and resources they need to be present, involved and caring parents.

The Merced County Human Services Agency (HSA) recognizes the positive impact a caring, involved and nurturing father can have on a child’s healthy growth and development.

💙 All Dads Matter Resource Center

Dads can receive one-on-one support with:
• Accessing community services and resources
• Navigating systems and services
• Connecting with a member of our team
• Getting the support they need to be the best dad they can be

The Resource Center also offers a children’s area with toys, games and puzzles, allowing children to stay engaged while dad meets with staff.

👶 Boot Camp for Dads

New and expectant fathers can participate in a three-hour workshop designed to help them prepare for the arrival of their baby. Dads learn practical skills for bonding with, supporting and caring for their new baby alongside trained facilitators and veteran dads who have successfully completed the workshop.

Los padres primerizos y futuros padres pueden participar en un taller de tres horas diseñado para prepararlos para la llegada de su bebé. Los participantes aprenden habilidades prácticas para crear un vínculo, apoyar y cuidar a su nuevo bebé junto con facilitadores capacitados y padres con experiencia que han completado el taller.

This morning, we were proud to join our community in Merced for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

County and City representatives came together to walk alongside community members, families, advocates, and supporters — raising awareness, showing support, and honoring all those whose lives have been touched by Alzheimer’s.

Events like this remind us of the strength of our community and the importance of coming together to support one another. 💜

Let’s keep walking together — to raise awareness, support families, and honor those impacted by Alzheimer’s.

Esta mañana, nos sentimos orgullosos de unirnos a nuestra comunidad en Merced para participar en la Caminata para Poner Fin al Alzheimer.
