Music In The Park is back on Saturday July 15th with "Kowhoon" 5 to 8pm bring your lawn chairs!

We're partnering with to Bring Home Holiday Happiness! On Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th we will be waiving adoption fees for all of our adoptable animals, though standard adoption practices will still apply. All adoptions will include their mandatory spay or neuter surgery, their first round of vaccinations, and a microchip. If you are planning on adopting a cat or kitten, please bring a travel carrier or a secure box to transport them home in.

$20 Adoption Fee for Dogs & Puppies

In order to help more of our dogs and puppies find a family to call their own, we are reducing their adoption fee to $20 through the end of September! All standard adoption processes will still apply, and each adoption includes their first round of vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, and a microchip. We have a wide variety of dogs - large dogs, medium dogs, small dogs, old dogs, young dogs, dogs with long hair, dogs with short hair, active dogs, lazy dogs, and more! Our team would be happy to help match you up with a dog that is a good match for your family, but you can also see a live and up-to-date list of all the dogs in our care by visiting: https://www.countyofmerced.com/163/County-Animal-Shelter

If you aren't in a position to adopt, consider short-term fostering a dog from our shelter so we can learn more about them and help them find their perfect match! To learn more, simply give us a call or stop by the shelter during our operating hours.
