The best waste is the waste we never create. 🌎

This Pollution Prevention Week, take a look at what you're throwing away and ask: Can I reduce it? Reuse it? Recycle it?

Small changes at home can add up to less waste headed to the landfill.

Recycle your used clothing for free!♻️👚👟👖

We are expanding access to a popular recycling program making it easier for residents to keep unwanted clothing, shoes and household textiles out of local landfills.

Our partnership with Eco World is the first of its kind in California and has resulted in more than 20 special bins being placed throughout the county that can collect clothing and textile donations from community members. For added convenience, residents can also schedule a home pickup of clothing and textiles through Just Porch It a free service operated by Eco World that gathers unwanted materials right from a residential doorstep.

Donated clothing and textiles should be clean and free of mold or moisture. Accepted items for both EcoWorld bins and Just Porch It include:
🔹Shirts
🔹Pants and shorts
🔹Dresses and skirts
🔹Shoes
🔹Belts
🔹Towels
🔹Blankets
🔹Sheets and pillowcases
🔹Bags, backpacks and purses
🔹Undergarments
🔹Hats and other fabrics

If you have clothing or textiles you no longer want or need, visit the RWA Clothing and Textile Recycling webpage at www.mcrwma.org/clothingrecycling to learn more about accepted materials, find a collection bin near you, or to schedule your Just Porch It home-pickup service.

Never forget.
