Our City of Merced Residential Service Customers can bring their bulky items like mattresses, sofas and refrigerators with proof of City Residential Refuse Service. Did you know it takes about 700 years for a plastic bottle to break down in a landfill? Even then, it never biodegrades. It just breaks up into much smaller pieces called microplastics that end up in our water, food, and wildlife!
