Meriden Parks & Recreation Department Meriden is home to 25 accessible parks. Each park opens at sunrise and closes a dusk.

The City of Meriden Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of 74 municipal areas including 25 accessible parks. We are committed to providing quality recreational activities to meet the physical, mental, cultural, and social needs of our residents and visitors.

Our final Yoga of the season did not disappoint!

The chill in the air was refreshing, the sunset spectacular, and the foliage showed off outstanding colors.

There is something pretty magical about slowing down, breathing deeply, and taking it all in surrounded by nature. A truly special way to wrap up another season of yoga on East Peak.

CASTLE CRAIG MOON VIEWING!!

Join us for a special evening at Castle Craig on Tuesday, October 27th!

- 9:00 PM – Gate closes to vehicles driving up
- 9:30 PM – Castle area closes

Did you know that October’s moon is traditionally known as the Hunter’s Moon? Historically, its bright light helped hunters spot game as they prepared for the colder months ahead!

Indoor Recreational Swim Begins Tomorrow, October 14th!

Make a splash this season with Indoor Recreational Swim at Platt and Maloney High Schools!

Platt High School: Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:40 AM – 6:40 AM
Maloney High School: Wednesdays: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM & Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

**Castle Craig Vehicle Access Road Update**

Please be advised that this Sunday, October 11, the opening of the Castle Craig Vehicle Access Road will be delayed to ensure the safety of participants in a scheduled 5K event at the park.

The road will be open to vehicles from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Please plan accordingly.
