🚑❤️ It’s AED Week!
Did you know every Meridian Police patrol vehicle is equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)? These lifesaving devices allow our officers to provide immediate care during cardiac emergencies, often before paramedics arrive.
The next time you see one of our patrol cars, look for the AED sticker on the back—it's a reminder that our officers are prepared to respond when every second counts.
Early CPR and quick access to an AED can save lives. We’re proud to carry this important equipment and serve our community both in emergencies and beyond.

Traded in our uniforms for softball jerseys yesterday! 🥎
Our team had a great time participating in the softball tournament hosted by the MPEA - Meridian Police Employee Association. It was a day full of friendly competition and plenty of wind alongside our fellow Treasure Valley agencies.
Thank you to Nampa Police Department, Caldwell Police Department, the Ada County Prosecutor's Office, and Idaho Corrections Probation & Parole for joining us. A special thank you as well to our sponsors Overhead Door Company of Southwestern Idaho, and Scheels, for supporting the event.
And to top it all off… we brought home the championship trophy! 🏆

🚦How we feel when you run a red light!
Officers spent a few hours conducting red light enforcement at Meridian and Overland, where they made several traffic stops resulting in citations for red light violations alone.
Red lights aren’t suggestions. A few extra seconds of waiting could prevent a serious crash. Slow down, stay alert, and stop on red.
