MPEA - Meridian Police Employee Association Giving back to the community and helping those that protect it. The Meridian Police Employee Association (MPEA) was reestablished in the spring of 2011.

During this time the board and its members worked diligently to make our association into a strong, professional and community oriented organization focusing our goals on improving the general welfare of the citizens of Meridian as well as engaging in fraternal, educational, charitable, economic, social and other types of activities which further the interests of this organization and its membership both directly and indirectly. The MPEA also saw this as a way for sworn and non-sworn members of the Meridian Police Department to get to know the citizens of Meridian on a more personal level, outside of the uniform. In addition, we focused our goals on providing assistance, financial, moral or otherwise to sworn and non-sworn personnel here at Meridian PD, as well as other first responders throughout the state.

🚨 BIG NEWS! NEW NAME. SAME MISSION. EXCITING FUTURE! 🚨

We are thrilled to officially announce that the Meridian Police Employee Association (MPEA) is transitioning to Meridian Lodge #47 of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP)! đź’™

This marks an exciting new chapter for our organization, but one thing remains unchanged: our commitment to supporting our law enforcement family and giving back to the community we proudly serve.

With this transition, we are excited to introduce the Meridian Foundation, which will carry forward the charitable mission of the MPEA. The Foundation will maintain its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, allowing us to continue supporting our community, building meaningful partnerships, and making a positive impact through charitable initiatives.

đź’™ Meridian Lodge 47 will focus on supporting, representing, and advocating for our law enforcement members.

đź’™ The Meridian Foundation will continue the charitable work and community-focused mission that have been at the heart of the MPEA.

Two organizations. One shared commitment. A stronger future.

We are incredibly proud of what the MPEA has accomplished over the years and grateful for the support of our members, community partners, and everyone who has helped us make a difference.

While our name and structure are evolving, our dedication to those who serve and the community we call home remains as strong as ever.
