💬 QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Calling All Military Teens! 💙

We want to hear from our teens at NAS Meridian! 🗣️✨

At Fleet & Family Support Center, we’re looking for ways to better understand the needs, interests, and ideas of the teens in our installation community. Your feedback can help us create programs, activities, and opportunities that make life on base more engaging, supportive, and fun!

🎯 We want to know:

* What kinds of activities or events would you like to see offered for teens on base?
* What topics would you like to learn more about?
* What resources or support would make a difference in your life as a military teen?
* What would make you more excited to participate in on-base activities?

👇 Drop your ideas in the comments! Whether it’s social events, creative workshops, life skills classes, volunteer opportunities, or something completely new, we want to hear from YOU!

Let’s work together to make sure our military teens have a voice and a community where they feel connected, supported, and included. 💙⚓️

🍬 Trick-or-Treating Safety
🚶 Stay on sidewalks and cross streets at designated crosswalks.
🎃 Carry a flashlight or glow stick to improve visibility.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Younger children should always be accompanied by a trusted adult.

🍫 Inspect all treats before eating them.
🚫 Avoid homemade treats from people you don’t know.
🥜 Check labels for potential food allergies.

🌧️ HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS: BE READY, STAY INFORMED! 🌀

With a hurricane expected to impact our area this weekend, now is the time to prepare yourself, your family, and your home. Don’t wait until the weather worsens to make a plan!

✅ Before the Storm:
• Monitor official weather updates and installation communications.
• Know your evacuation route and designated shelter locations.
• Prepare an emergency kit with water, nonperishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, chargers, important documents, and pet supplies.
• Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, and other loose items.
• Keep your vehicle fueled and ready if evacuation becomes necessary.
• Have a family communication plan and make sure everyone knows where to go and how to reconnect.

📱 UPDATE YOUR NFAAS INFORMATION!

Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS) helps the Navy account for personnel and their families following a disaster and assess needs during recovery.

➡️ Log in to NFAAS and verify that your contact information, address, family information, and emergency contacts are current.

⚠️ If you are affected by the storm, follow all instructions from local authorities and your chain of command. Stay informed, stay prepared, and most importantly—stay safe!
