MADC meeting TODAY, May 21st at 4PM! Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Sergeant Trevor Weitzel from the Meridian Police Department - Idaho will provide an overview of a DRE's perspective when it comes to different substances. April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we are so thankful for our dedicated volunteers! MADC members had a blast attending the Volunteer Appreciation Lunch with the City of Meridian, Idaho - Government Mayor Simison earlier this month.

The numbers are in! 696.6 lbs. of medications taken back from over 260 cars at the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA sponsored Take-back day held at Blue Cross of Idaho. This year's event was a huge collaboration with Idaho State University L. S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy Generation Rx students, the Meridian Police Department - Idaho, Blue Cross, and Terry Reilly Health Services.
Thanks to all the community members who stopped by to responsibly dispose of medications, the volunteers who helped at this annual event, and Central District Health and Terry Reilly for providing resources!

Congratulations to MADC's Youth Sector Representative, Caylee May for being the 2026 MADC Volunteer of the Year! Caylee always brings enthusiasm to every meeting and event she attends. She is a positive go-getter and an inspiring youth advocate. She is always willing to step up and volunteer. Thank you Caylee for encouraging other youth to live drug free and stand up for what is right to keep our community safe.

Join MADC this Saturday April 25th from 10AM - 2PM for the upcoming Rx Take-back Day! Blue Cross of Idaho will be hosting us again this year at their Meridian Campus, 3000 E. Pine Ave., Meridian ID 83642. Accepted items include pills/capsules, liquid medications, pet medications, and vapes/e-cigarettes with the battery removed. No sharps accepted. There will be free resources while supplies last!
