Here is my complete statement:

The Idaho Senate has a history of respect and civility among its members. As Pro Tem, I will preserve that tradition for our members and extend it to improve our working relationship with the House and the other branches of government. We face unprecedented turnover within our body, and the citizens of Idaho who entrusted us with the important work of legislating and governing expect to see results. I seek to be a bridge between our desire for change and respect for our traditions.

WHO WILL LEAD: Lawmakers face off for Idaho legislative leadership posts BOISE — Contested races for legislative leadership posts are taking shape in both houses of the Idaho Legislature, including for House speaker and Senate president pro tem.
