🌟Teacher Tuesday Spotlight🌟

We are kicking off Teacher Spotlight Tuesdays-a summer series to introduce you to the staff of GPM for 26-27.

This week, we are excited to begin by introducing two new members of our team- Vani Frank and Emily Van Allen.

Ms. Frank will be serving as our 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher this year, working alongside Mrs. Piper. She is a recent graduate of Boise State University and is excited to draw from her experience at BSU and with the City of Boise’s after-school and summer playcamp programs to create a vibrant and supportive learning community for her scholars. Outside of the classroom, you can find her hiking, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Van Allen will be joining GPM as the 5th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher and 5th grade partner to Mrs. Bates. Also a Bronco, Ms. Van Allen graduated from Boise State in 2023 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She absolutely loves books and reading and her home library is one of her favorite places. Ms. Van Allen also loves crafts, Taylor Swift and her pets- dog, Koda, and cat, Parzival. She cannot wait to get to know all of her scholars and have an amazing year together!

Our school year may be finished but our pride for our scholars is anything but! The last few weeks of school brought many exciting showcases of scholars' learning and hard work. We hope you enjoy seeing some highlights from 3rd and 5th grade end-of year-projects!

3rd graders demonstrated our competency of being skilled communicators as they presented their research about a chosen animal during the 3rd Grade Zoo and shared about their heritage or a culture of interest at the Culture Fair. We are so proud of their hard work on both of these projects!

🎓✨ Celebrating the Class of 2026 at Gem Prep: Meridian! ✨🎓

This year, 28 graduates crossed the stage—making this our largest graduating class yet! We could not be more proud of these scholars and all they have accomplished during their time at Gem Prep.

Many members of the Class of 2026 are graduating not only with their high school diploma, but also with an Associate's degree, demonstrating years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment to their future goals.

Across all Gem Prep schools, our seniors have earned more than $2 million in scholarships and awards, opening doors to incredible opportunities ahead. From attending colleges and universities across Idaho and beyond, to serving on mission trips, entering the workforce, and pursuing new adventures, our graduates are ready to make a positive impact wherever life takes them.

To the Class of 2026: Thank you for the example you've set for younger scholars. We are honored to have been part of your journey and can't wait to see the difference you will make in the world.

Congratulations, graduates! Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning. 💙

June is School Board Appreciation Month! 🗓️

We want to take a moment to extend a massive thank you to our incredible school board members. These dedicated individuals volunteer countless hours, make tough decisions, and work tirelessly behind the scenes to support our students, teachers, and community.

Thank you for your unwavering time, leadership, and service! 💙

Learning and playing don't stop when summer vacation starts, and neither does the need for good nutrition! 🏃‍♂️🥦

To help our community's children return to school healthy and ready to learn this fall, two fantastic free meal programs are available right here in the Treasure Valley all summer long!

🍉 Option 1: Free School District Summer Meals
Free breakfast and lunch are being served on weekdays from June 1st through the end of July. Meals are available at various local schools, parks, and libraries to ensure easy access. No registration or school enrollment is required—any child ages 1 to 18 can participate!

☀️ Option 2: Boys & Girls Club
Free weekday meals are also being served at the three locations from June 1st to August 7th! Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM, and lunch is from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Club membership is not required—these meals are completely free and open to all kids and teens ages 1 to 18!
