🔥 WORKING FIRE 🔥

Earlier this week, Empire responded to a working fire at 1364 Merrick Avenue, assisting the North Merrick FD .

Engine 641 was second due and stretched a line off a North Merrick engine, operating on heavy fire conditions on the second floor.

Due to extreme hoarding conditions encountered inside the residence, operations transitioned to an exterior attack before crews re-entered and extinguished the remaining pockets of fire.

No serious injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Strong work by all companies operating on scene.
