Important Lincoln County Jail Inmate Communication Announcement - Effective October 20th, 2026
The Lincoln County Jail will be implementing two important changes, at no cost to tax-payers, regarding inmate communication and services beginning Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
1. New Inmate Mail Procedures
To enhance facility safety and security and reduce the introduction of contraband, the Lincoln County Jail will begin utilizing an off-site mail processing system. Effective October 20th, all non-legal inmate mail must be sent to the following address:
Inmate Name
Inmate Number
Lincoln County Jail
PO Box 591
Longview, TX 75606
Mail sent to this address will be scanned and delivered electronically to inmates through facility tablets and kiosks. Legal mail must continue to be sent directly to the Lincoln County Jail at 1104 E 1st St. Merrill, WI 54452.
2. New Video Visitation and Electronic Messaging Options
The Lincoln County Jail will also be introducing video visitation and electronic messaging through NCIC Correctional Services. Friends and family will be able to communicate with incarcerated individuals through several convenient options. These services provide additional ways for friends and family to stay connected without having to send traditional mail.
To create or manage your NCIC account, visit www.NCIC.com or call 1-800-943-2189.
Please note these changes will take effect on October 20, 2026. We encourage friends and family of those individuals housed at the Lincoln County Jail to review the updated procedures and share this information with anyone who may be affected. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this transition to improve facility security and communications opportunities for incarcerated individuals in our facility.
