Today, Deputy Michael Sloban retires after 47 years of service to the Town of Merrimac Fire Department.
His service and dedication is difficult to sum up in a single post, but there are some words that help.

Dedication- late nights, early mornings, and sleepless nights and the biggest, leaving work to help our community.

Loyalty- always willing to be supportive and making choices that put the fire department first. Fundraising to purchase equipment through Hose Company #1 when the Town couldn’t.

Integrity- always making the right choices even when no one is watching.

We want to thank Deputy Michael Sloban for his friendship, brotherhood and service. We wish him only the best in the future.
Please join us in recognizing him by sending him a message of acknowledgment in this post.
