The Mesa Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor these incredible veterans with this banner program.

So glad your dad is being recognized for his service. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Every banner tells a story. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

As you drive through Mesa and see our Hometown Heroes banners proudly diplayed, take a moment to reflect on the men and women they honor. These banners are more than a display of names and photos - they are a visible reminder that courage, service, and dedication live right here in our community. One banner is especially meaningful to my family - because itโ€™s my Dad ๐Ÿ’™.

Lieutenant Colonel Nelson Wayne Dwight, Jr., USAF (Retired), honorably served his country for more than twenty-eight years as a distinguished Air Force aviator. During Operation Desert Storm (1990โ€“1991), he flew vital combat airlift missions in the C-130 Hercules aircraft, supporting coalition operations that liberated Kuwait from Iraqi occupation. Lt. Col. Dwight retired from military service in 1997 and now resides in Mesa, Arizona, with his wife of 56 years, Karen Dwight.

Thank you to all of our service members, veterans, and military families. Mesa is proud to celebrate you.

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Jacob's Hope Inc. on the grand opening of their new building!

Jacobโ€™s Hope is a clinic for newborns who are suffering with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, or withdrawals from pre-natal exposure to drugs. Their medically nurturing facility cares for these infants while the drugs leave their systems. They love and care for these babies in a home-like environment until they are ready for a more permanent home, either in a relative placement or foster care.
