Our sister city of Guaymas, Mexico was well-represented this weekend by Mayor Karla Cordova at the annual Día De Los Mu***os celebration in Downtown Mesa. At the Mesa Arts Center, she honored SSP Policia Municipal R.R. Andrade with a tribute at a beautiful ofrenda. This powerful event highlighted our shared respect for Mexican culture and strengthened the relationship between our communities

A recent facility tour and gift exchange at Mesa's Northeast Public Safety Facility commemorated the city's partnership with Guaymas, Mexico. Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman and Guaymas Mayor Karla Cordova participated in a gift exchange of cities. The event marked another year of Mesa Sister Cities community partnership and reinforced the long-standing relationship between Mesa and Guaymas, a Mexican port city in the Gulf of California. The facility, which is a combined police and fire station, located at 1333 N. Power Road in Mesa.
