NEHS and NJHS had a guest from Red Cross come to talk about donating blood. He did a hands only CPR demonstration with the kids and they were able to try it out! They also made thank you cards for the donors of our upcoming blood drive and started posters for the Turkey Trot next month! What a great meeting👏

Our 7th grade ELA class wrapped up quarter one by enjoying time at the “Book Club Cafe.” Students shared a book that they read independently during the quarter with a small group. The kids summarized the stories they had read, and responded to questions. The conversations were authentic and engaging, and it was the perfect way to finish up class before break!
