Susan G. Komen's 16th Annual Southern Arizona Race for the Cure. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Life Net 2, Jenn Atchley-RN and James Barrett-Business Development Manager, creating awareness for breast cancer one step at a time.

Hi Team,
I’m in awe by the strength of one of our Air Methods crew members, Jenn Atchley-Flight Nurse/Medic at Marana, AZ LifeNet 2, she has been undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer at the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson. Jenn knew she wanted to create breast cancer awareness, so she contact James Barrett, Business Development Manager, to help her brainstorm. They came up with the idea to start raising funds for the people who have been helping Jenn beat cancer, The Volunteer Program at the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
Jenn is going to be a participating in the Susan G. Komen - Race For The Cure, March 30th 2014 in Tucson, AZ and would like all of you (her family at Air Methods) to join her. This is a huge event and there’s a lot going on that day with great food, fun entertainment, award ceremonies, survivor ceremonies, 1 mile walk and a 5K walk/run. Here is a link to register www.komensaz.org/komen-race-for-the-cure/race-information/
Also helping us create awareness is Ron Thomas, owner of Stowebridge Promotional Group, he created a merchandise website, specifically for us, so we could join together and raise money to help fight breast cancer. Starting now, the funds raised on our website will go directly to the Volunteer Program at University of Arizona Cancer Center http://azcc.arizona.edu/.
(Our past efforts raised almost $500 for The Live and Give Foundation www.CheckForALump.com)

Good Morning Everybody!!
It’s official we have a Fight Breast Cancer t-shirt website! We are all set up to take t-shirt orders and collect donations for The Live and Give Foundation-Check For A Lump. www.amccharity.greatideas.us/catalog/19383
These awesome new Fight Breast Cancer t-shirts were designed by Shawna West from Native Air 37 in Hobbs, New Mexico! Our sponsor Stowebridge Promotion Group, Inc., who made the t-shirts, has created a website especially for our project. With this website you can order your Fight Breast Cancer t-shirts for $23.50, price includes shipping, 100% of the profits goes directly to the Live and Give Foundation-Check For A Lump. Stowebridge has also set up this website so you can donate directly to the Live and Give Foundation-Check For A Lump. This is an amazing non-profit group who provides free custom wigs to breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. As of July 2013 Check For A Lump has been able to assist over 100 women with a FREE custom wig in their Wig Out program! Please take a moment to read Erin’s message, she is a Wig Out client who chose to share how the program assisted her.
“My hair is finally starting to grow back, so I’m hoping I won’t need it much longer, but every day when I put my wig on I still say a little thank you prayer for Wig Out. My boys are still young (6 & 9) and losing my hair seemed to be the hardest part of this for them. I was fortunate to get through chemo with ease, so losing my hair was probably one of the few side effects that was a constant reminder to them that I was sick. I’m so blessed that Wig Out made this a little bit easier on them! Thanks again!” Erin
