We're partnering with the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix for a special morning filled with crafts, songs, dance, and hands-on cultural activities. Families will have the opportunity to learn about Japanese traditions through origami, traditional games, and interactive experiences designed to inspire curiosity and connection.

This free family event is a wonderful way to explore a new culture, make memories, and have fun together!

When children enter foster care, the goal is often reunification—helping families address challenges, build stability, and safely bring children back home. While every family's journey is different, reunification shows what can happen when families receive the support and resources they need to heal and move forward together.

Foster mom Emily witnessed that firsthand when she welcomed newborn Sophia into her home. Despite being told reunification was unlikely, Sophia's mother consistently showed up, worked hard to overcome her struggles, and remained committed to creating a safe future for her daughter.

After six months in foster care, Sophia was reunited with her mother. Today, Emily continues to be a source of support and encouragement for the family, demonstrating the impact foster parents can have beyond providing temporary care.

As we recognize National Reunification Month, we celebrate the parents working to overcome obstacles, the children who benefit from family connections, and the foster families who support reunification every step of the way.

A huge thank you to the team at Deloitte for creating a day full of fun, generosity, and community spirit! Volunteers hosted a Water Day for children in our Early Education Program, donated water toys, and assembled 80 backpacks filled with school supplies to help children start the school year ready to learn and thrive.

We were also thrilled to have Child Crisis Arizona Board Member Matt Benjamin join the volunteer effort and help make the day even more special.

Let your little dancer’s imagination take center stage this summer!

Build-A-Ballet Dance Camp with Ballet Arizona invites children ages 4–7 to step into the enchanting world of The Sleeping Beauty through movement, creativity, and storytelling.

Campers will enjoy ballet classes, learn fun choreography, create their own performance props, and make new friends in a playful and supportive environment. The week concludes with a special performance for family and friends showcasing everything they've learned and created!

Every child deserves a safe, loving family—and every family deserves to feel welcome.

Child Crisis Arizona is proud to be the only foster care and adoption agency in Arizona to earn the Human Rights Campaign’s All Children – All Families Seal of Recognition.

This distinction recognizes agencies that go beyond non-discrimination policies by implementing inclusive practices, staff training, and ongoing support to ensure LGBTQ+ youth, parents, and caregivers feel welcomed, affirmed, and supported.

The Barbosa family was recently awarded a pool fence through our Pool Fence Safety Program in partnership with Salt River Project, State Farm and local firefighter charities. For this family, the support came at a critical time as they work hard to provide stability and care for their little one.

“Being able to make our home safer for our child is extremely important to us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, understanding, and for the work you do to support families in the community,” shared Leidy, mother of the family.

Drowning can happen quickly and silently, which is why layers of protection are so important. Pool fences serve as an additional barrier to help prevent unsupervised access to the water and give families added peace of mind. Combined with active supervision, swim lessons, and water safety education, multiple barriers can save lives.
