Happy Memorial Day!
At 3:00 today, don’t forget to pause, reflect and pray on this Beautiful day.
Because it is considered a day of national mourning, for those who gave their lives serving their country.
Today if you fly an American flag, it should be flown at half-staff until noon and then raised up for the remainder of the day.
There is also a National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. local time, where you are asked to pause for one minute of silence to remember our fallen.

Today, Dallas County Constable’s Office PCT 2 sent two of our deputies to an updated DWI Refresher Course hosted at the DFW Airport Police Department.
Sergeant Thongsana and Corporal Sipes attended the updated training to continue strengthening their knowledge and investigative skills when encountering impaired drivers.
Our deputies regularly come across drivers operating vehicles while impaired, placing innocent lives at risk on our roadways. In 2025 alone, impaired drivers were responsible for 22,087 crashes that resulted in 865 deaths in Texas.
At Dallas County Constable’s Office PCT 2, we remain committed to protecting our community by ensuring our deputies receive updated training, tools, and resources to effectively investigate and remove impaired drivers from our streets.
Together, we can help keep Dallas County safe.

🙌🏾 Taser Training
At Dallas County Constable Precinct 2 , your safety and your trust are our top priorities.
Last month, Sgt. Yordlak Thongsana, Cpl. Joshua Sipes, Deputy Timothy Drakes, Deputy Ronnie Goodson, and I, Constable Deanna Hammond became certified Axon Taser 10 instructors.
We are already putting that training to use and today, we are training our deputies in-house, which allows us to save taxpayer dollars while maintaining the highest standards.
We will continue to build strong relationships through community policing, accountability, and a commitment to doing what’s right for the people we serve.
