Our VVHS construction classes traveled to CSN’s Cheyenne Campus today for Construction Day! Students had the opportunity to connect with representatives from approximately 70 vendors, exploring careers in construction, transportation, utilities, skilled trades, and even desert tortoise conservation. 🦺🐢

Thank you to the participating organizations for sharing their knowledge and to JAG Nevada for providing pizza for lunch!

Building skills and exploring possibilities for the future! 💚🤍🔨

If you know, you know... 🍩⚽🔥
Each of our Boys Soccer players got a sweet reward this morning from their coaches! After an absolute thriller yesterday, our Bulldogs clinched an incredible win over Moapa Valley with a clutch goal in the final minute of the game!
Hard work, grit, and staying locked in until the final whistle pays off. Outstanding job, boys—enjoy those donuts, you earned every bite! 👏🏼💚🏆

While NIAA rules require a light and a dark jersey on the field, we’re keeping a tradition alive—Green vs. Blue! 💚💙
You’ll see your Bulldogs suited up in ALL GREEN, while Moapa Valley takes the field in ALL BLUE. Taking a page from classic rivalries like UCLA vs. USC and BYU vs. Utah, this rivalry matchup looks like no other!

Rivalry tradition at its finest! 🏈🔥

TONIGHT IS THE HAMMER GAME! 🔨🏈
College football has legendary rivalry trophies like Minnesota vs. Wisconsin’s Paul Bunyan’s Axe, Texas vs. Oklahoma’s Golden Hat, and Notre Dame vs. USC’s Jeweled Shillelagh... but right here in Southern Nevada, it’s all about THE HAMMER! 🏆
Every year, Virgin Valley and Moapa Valley battle it out on the football field for bragging rights and the honor of bringing the Hammer home.
The stage is set, the tradition is alive, and the Hammer belongs in Mesquite! Come out tonight and make some noise for your Bulldogs! 💚🖤

Connecting and growing for our Bulldog community! 🤝💚
As part of a Region 1 collaboration, Principal Waite traveled to Las Vegas to meet with fellow school leaders to explore new ways to strengthen the connection between Virgin Valley High School and our community.
During the trip, he visited Desert Pines High School, touring classrooms and participating in one-on-one sessions with administrators to exchange ideas, share best practices, and bring valuable insights back to VVHS! 🏫💡

Celebrating a well-deserved step forward for one of our very best! 🩺💚
Melodie Smith has been an exceptional support in our Special Education Department for years, and this week, she transitioned into her new role as our official School Health Assistant (SHA) in the health office!
Melodie is extraordinarily skilled, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of our students. While we will miss her daily presence in Special Ed, we are thrilled to have her caring for our Bulldogs in this new capacity. Congratulations, Melodie! 👏🏼✨
