We’ve officially wrapped up registration for the 2026–2027 school year (whew! 🙌), and now it’s time to celebrate the heart of our amazing counselors! 💚

If a counselor has made a difference in your student’s life through guidance, support, or just being that trusted voice, we’d love for you to nominate them for Counselor of the Year using the form below!

Hey rising 11th and 12th grade Pirates! Mesquite ISD is introducing the Mesquite Virtual Learning Experience, a hybrid learning option that gives students more flexibility in their school day for the 2026–27 school year. MVLE allows students to take up to four classes online while completing the rest of their courses on campus. Registration opened January 13 and closes January 26. Space is limited.
Students who are interested should contact their school counselor or visit www.mesquiteisd.org/mvle for more information.

Friday was all about service, smiles, and holiday spirit! 🎄 The counselors were off campus and in the community. We had an amazing time helping fill bags for families in the Santa Cop program. Thank you Mesquite Police Department - Texas for your dedication to our community and for welcoming us with open arms!

We are so thankful for our Poteet Pirates!!! We are also thankful for the Pirates that decorated the Counseling Center and the hallway for Pirate Give Day!! We are exicted to bring in the Christmas cheer after Thanksgiving break!!!!

The counselors love seeing our students come together and make a difference in the community!!

Don’t forget to complete the returning student registration before the school year starts. You won’t be able to receive your schedule until after it is completed.

Have you completed your registration for the 2025-26 school year? All students who were enrolled in an MISD school last year and plan to return this year must complete this step. If students do not complete their Returning Student Registration, they will not receive a class schedule when schedules are released.
