Metairie Academy for Advanced Studies Our mission is to help our children grow to become well rounded responsible citizens.

The Jefferson Parish Public Schools Advanced Study Academies (ASAs) are designed to expose the most highly capable students to a challenging, rigorous, and accelerated curriculum. The academies focus on high-potential students who are successful in gaining admission through the ASA admissions process. Successful candidates are challenged with opportunities in abstract thinking, problem solving, and the use of higher order thinking skills. Our academies employ a school-wide enrichment model and use project-based, hands-on instructional techniques. Students are highly engaged through differentiated instruction and are working at least one grade level ahead of other students in their age group and grade placement.

Riaan is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Mighty Mustang! 💙

In his own words:

“I believe in doing the right thing. I respect my teachers and parents. I am always nice and helpful to my fellow students.”

We are so proud of Riaan for leading with kindness, respect, and character each and every day. Congratulations, Riaan! 🎉👏🐴

🎉📚 Congratulations to our 2028 Teacher of the Year, MRS. ELISA HUBER! 📚🎉

Mrs. Huber truly does it all! As our amazing school librarian, technology coordinator, school leadership team member, and all-around positive friend, she brings a smile, helping hand, and joyful spirit to our school each and every day. 💙

We are so lucky to have Mrs. Huber as part of our Mustang family, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this well-deserved honor! 🐴✨

Congratulations, Mrs. Huber! We are so proud of you! 🎉👏
