We had a great time with the students and staff today! It is always a good day to talk about fire safety. We hope the kids enjoyed their special goodies and that they remember the fire safety tips we went over today.
1. Do not hide in a fire
2. Stay low and get out of the building and go to your meeting place.
3. Don’t play with matches or lighters
4. Review your fire escape plan (create yours if you haven’t already done so)
5. Check your smoke detectors
6. Stop, drop, & roll (remember to cover your faces too)
7. They all unanimously knew the number to call in an emergency…911

We also showed them an ambulance and reviewed what we do, the tools we use, and what we do when there are more patients than responders. So many great questions!
Thank you Evergreen Elementary for keeping this as part of your curriculum!

Good Morning to our Amboy Township and Metamora Village Family, Friends, and Residents! We are in the preparation stages of our Annual Feather Party fundraiser (an event full of traditions) and we have mailed our letters inviting you to attend our event.
These mailings will be arriving to “Current Resident” or “Postal Customer”, so please open this mailing for specific information on our event and we hope to see you there! If you do not receive your mailing, you are still invited and we invite you to call the station for specifics on the event.
You do not need to be a resident of our jurisdiction to attend, we would love to see each and every one of you! Invite your family and friends for a night with your first responders! See you at the fire station on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at 7:00 pm.
FYI: Thank you to those community members that answered our surveys last year. We listened and have added more turkeys and hams to the night!

This event is open to any and all to participate. We had a Hillsdale City firefighter shared this event with us at the fairgrounds today. Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement encouraged to participate with and without gear.

As we gather to honor the lives lost on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we thank you for joining us in remembering those we lost and paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day.

We have had a bountiful harvest and want to share our good fortune! Stop by the station today for your choice of cukes, banana peppers, and a variety of tomatoes. First come first serve and at no cost to you!

What a great group of educators! Lots of great questions were asked by the group in preparation for the 2026-2027 school year. Happy to partner with them and make sure they are certified and prepared in case of an emergency!
