Today, on National First Responders Day, we proudly recognize the dedicated men and women of the Miami Gardens Police Department who answer the call to serve our community each and every day.

Behind every uniform is an individual whose courage, compassion, and commitment make a difference. Whether responding to an emergency, offering a reassuring word, extending a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needs it most, every act of service matters.

To our MGPD family and first responders everywhere, your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, your dedication does not go unappreciated, and your impact extends far beyond the badge.

We thank you for showing up, standing strong, and serving with heart. Today and every day, we honor YOU!

Today, Chief Delma Noel-Pratt had the honor of speaking with young men from the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project during the Police & Youth Conference at Hard Rock Stadium.

Through words of encouragement, wisdom, and leadership, Chief Noel-Pratt emphasized the importance of making positive choices, believing in yourself, and recognizing that your future is filled with endless possibilities.

Events like these are about more than conversations. They’re about building trust, breaking barriers, and empowering young men to become tomorrow’s leaders.

A special thanks to the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, the Miami Dolphins, and everyone who helped make this meaningful event possible.

One conversation can inspire a lifetime of greatness!

Last week, Juici Patties extended a warm welcome to the Miami Gardens Police Department by generously treating our officers and staff to some delicious Jamaican patties!

To return the kindness, Chief Delma Noel-Pratt and Deputy Chief Joseph Nargiso stopped by to personally thank the Juici Patties team and officially welcome them to the Miami Gardens community!

At MGPD, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful relationships. Whether you’re a new business or a longtime community staple, our commitment remains the same: to serve, protect, and support you with the highest level of professionalism and care. 💙

🚨 ANSWERING THE CALL TO OPPORTUNITY! 📞👏

Yesterday marked an exciting milestone as the Miami Gardens Police Department proudly celebrated the launch of the 911 Dispatcher Apprenticeship Program, a partnership we were honored to help initiate and bring to life alongside Miami Dade College, with valuable support from the City of Miami Gardens!

Behind every call is a dedicated voice providing reassurance, guidance, and hope during life’s most critical moments. Recognizing the importance of this role, MGPD took the initiative to help create a pathway for aspiring public safety professionals to gain the training, education, and hands-on experience needed to succeed.

This program represents more than a career opportunity. It’s an investment in our future workforce, a commitment to professional development, and another step toward strengthening public safety in our community.

💙 A special THANK YOU to Miami Dade College for embracing this partnership, the City of Miami Gardens for its continued support and assistance, and everyone whose dedication helped turn this vision into reality!

Because serving our community doesn’t always begin with a badge. Sometimes, it begins with answering a call. 📞💙

Sometimes, the greatest impact begins with something as simple as opening a book and sharing a story! 📖❤️

In celebration of Unity Day, the Miami Gardens Police Department proudly partnered with Councilwoman Porter for another special installment of Books & Badges, bringing our officers and community partners into classrooms to inspire, encourage, and connect with our young scholars!

🏫 Myrtle Grove Elementary 🏫 Golden Glades Elementary 🏫 Brentwood Elementary 🏫 Skyway Elementary 🏫 Scott Lake Elementary

Beyond the pages of every book shared was an opportunity to build trust, create meaningful connections, and remind our children that they are supported by a community that believes in their future.

A heartfelt thank you to Councilwoman Porter, our dedicated officers, school administrators, educators, volunteers, and everyone who lent a helping hand to make this special initiative possible. Your commitment to our youth is what makes moments like these truly meaningful!

Because unity isn’t just about coming together for a day. It’s about building relationships, inspiring the next generation, and creating a stronger community every day. 💛🧡
