From dispatchers and billers to EMTs, Paramedics, and Supervisors, AMR Medics Miami crews brought their competitive spirit to today’s no-holds-barred pickleball championship!
The final showdown pitted Supervisor Claudia Marreo and EMT Ernesto Couceiro against Paramedic John Sturla and EMT Rowan Bascuas.
Congratulations to John Sturla and Rowan Bascuas, our pickleball champions! A big shout-out to Claudia and Ernesto and all 16 teams who made this event a great celebration of our crew.

Crews are coming in and being quizzed on various vehicle safety policies, how to don and doff PPE, stretcher mechanics refresher with pediatric restraints as well as competing in our stretcher rodeo. Good turn out from our crews who are excited and appreciative to know their safety matters to us.

This month, we're proud to spotlight Yaima Acosta, Operations Director at American Medical Response (AMR) South Florida and a valued member of our Executive Trustee Council.

With more than 14 years at AMR, Yaima leads over 400 EMS professionals and 200 support staff across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. She also serves on the Palm Beach County EMS Advisory Board, demonstrating her commitment to advancing emergency services and strengthening the communities she serves.
