Keep Judge Miesha Darrough

On April 29, 2022, I was ELECTED without opposition! That means I will continue to serve as a Miami-Dade County Court Judge.

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my campaign and encouraged me in any way throughout this election season. I have been blessed and honored by the show and amount of support I have received from people throughout Miami-Dade County. This experience has been a real roller coaster ride, and I could not have gotten through it without you. Being a judge is a tough job and it should be, because judges make important decisions that can impact all aspects of our lives. Knowing this, I do not take it for granted that you have entrusted me with such great responsibility. That is why I put in the work and time that is necessary to get the job done. I am eternally grateful to each and everyone of you and will continue to serve our amazing community honorably. 🙏🏾

Judge Darrough had a wonderful time mixing and mingling with members of the Aventura Marketing Council Chambers of Commerce and the Colombian American Chambers of Commerce- Miami at their joint Networking Reception in Aventura.

Judge Darrough welcomed potential jurors to the Dade County Courthouse and thanked them for responding to the call for duty. By responding for jury service, each person performed one of the most important services to our country. Thank you for your willingness to serve and helping to preserve, defend and protect our constitution.

Judge Darrough presided over a mock jury trial conducted by 2nd and 3rd year law students from the University of Miami School of Law at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building. The students were graded on their performances for their Litigation Skills Program class. Everyone did a great job! Congratulations to all the students, participants and school faculty and staff for all your hard work this past semester. All your hard work definitely paid off today.

Judge Darrough was the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Hialeah-Miami Springs’ April luncheon. Thank you to the members for inviting the Judge to join you.

Thank you to Members of South Florida Muslim Community for inviting Judge Darrough to join them at their Ramadan Open House at the Islamic Center of Greater Miami- Miami Gardens Mosque to speak and observe members of the Muslim community pray, break their fast and fellowship over dinner.

Judge Darrough had a wonderful and informative time learning about the Muslim community’s traditions and the holy month of fasting, Ramadan.

What a wonderful Sunday! The Embrace Girls Foundation and their community partners joined forces to provide meals and PPE items to over 100 people in our community. Thank you to every person, group and police agency that helped to make today impactful for those in need.

Judge Darrough swearing-in one of the newest members of the Florida Bar, Ms. Johneeka Monique Simpson. She is intelligent, driven and an amazing young lady. She’s also a graduate of University of Florida College of Law. It was truly a pleasure for the Judge to meet Johneeka and her lovely family and to have them at the Dade County Courthouse. Thank you Johneeka and family for asking the Judge to be a part of this special occasion. We look forward to all the great things Johneeka will do in the legal profession. Congratulations!!!

Judge Darrough had a wonderful time at the Florida City Business Mixer hosted by the South Dade Connections at the Pioneer Museum in Florida City last night. Thank you for inviting the Judge to attend and meet some great people in Florida City.

Tonight, Judge Darrough attended “A Black & Jewish Art Collaboration” hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council and Hampton Art Lovers at the Historic Ward Rooming House in Overtown. The artwork of Marvin Weeks and David Oxios, the panel discussions, and the dialogue from the audience were fascinating and inspiring.
