This weekend, we celebrated the graduation of the very first Parent Leadership Network cohort—an incredible group of parents and caregivers committed to learning, leading, and advocating for Florida’s children and families. 💙

Over the past months, these parent leaders built advocacy skills, shared their stories, and strengthened their voices to help create change in their communities and across our state.

Congratulations to our inaugural cohort—Florida is stronger because of leaders like you.

We hope even more parents and caregivers will join the next cohort and be part of this growing movement.

On our next Future Call, we’ll explore how the faith community can support early learning and early childhood when working collaboratively with their community.

Suzan Gage, executive director at the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida, and Irvin Clark, associate dean of student & strategic initiatives at FSU Panama City, ELC of NWF board member, and local pastor, will share how they engage faith leaders and rural communities in early learning conversations to help build partnerships and move the needle where it counts. The conversation will highlight how they have structured these conversations and how a faith leader advocates for connections between what is good for families, young children, and the community they serve.

Four years ago, Mrs. Dannika was looking for an opportunity to grow. Today, she’s helping Florida’s youngest learners build the foundation for life.

Early learning is more than child care. It’s the support children need to succeed, families need to work, and businesses need to thrive.

When we invest in early childhood educators, we strengthen Florida’s families, workforce, economy, and future. This is not an individual issue. It’s a systems issue—and it takes all of us.
