Happy Mother's Day to all who care about others, or who are needing unconditional love. As a senior I now realize how important moments of caring are. Babies attract with their endearing giggles and other charms, but older mothers whose skin is no longer soft to the touch who only smile on rare occasions also long for the human touch. So those of you who are mother substitutes and hold the hands of the elderly and give unconditional love are also appreciated on this Mother's Day. Even though there are many who smugly say that it's a man made holiday for gift giving it is also a day to remember that person who tenderly gave or gives you love. It is contagious, easy to catch, and rewarding to both.
