Why would that be important?
A major archaeological discovery was made on the Miami River. Was it kept ‘under wraps’?

Photo of the Everglades Hotel at 244 Biscayne Boulevard on September 9, 1946. Opened in 1926 as an apartment complex, the twenty-year-old building had just undergone renovations and repairs at the time of this photo. The Everglades was razed in January of 2005 to make room for the Vizcayne condominium complex which resides on the land once occupied by the old hotel. Please Share!

. . With no debate, Miami commissioners on Thursday unanimously approved a long-delayed Dade Heritage Trust Miami lease for the tidy 1905 wood cottage that served as pioneering physician James Jackson’s clinic.

Forget the dog park or the condos. Historic Jackson bungalow will stay in Brickell
In the end, there was no talk of turning the picturesque, publicly owned historic site in Miami’s Brickell district into condos or a dog park.
