Last week, we had the honor of hosting the NAF Quarterly Board of Directors Meeting right here at Hialeah Gardens Senior High! It was an incredible privilege to welcome the Board to Miami, home of the largest NAF Network in the nation and the most distinguished academies in the nation!

Our students were so proud to showcase their academies and share the amazing work happening on our campus. It was a memorable day of connection, inspiration, and Gladiator pride! Special thanks to Principal Jimenez, Assistant Principal Ms. Estevez and all of the teachers and students at Hialeah Gardens who made this visit extra special!

Today, the STEM Board Advisory Committee—made up of dedicated teachers and local industry partners—came together with one shared mission: to expand resources and opportunities that prepare our students for college, career, and beyond.
A huge thank‑you to FIU for hosting us in such an incredible space designed to spark creativity, collaboration, and future‑focused thinking.

Students from South Dade Senior High’s Academy of Finance spent the day at Dade County Federal Credit Union for an inspiring Job Shadow Day.

They explored career pathways in banking, learned directly from industry professionals, and got a firsthand look at how financial institutions serve our community. Experiences like these help turn classroom knowledge into real‑world skills — and these students showed up with curiosity, professionalism, and ambition.

A huge thank‑you to Dade County Federal Credit Union for opening their doors and investing in the next generation of financial leaders. The future of finance is looking bright!

Our STEM students from Miami Lakes Educational Center spent an unforgettable day with Formula E teams, getting an exclusive behind‑the‑scenes look at the Miami Formula E race. They jumped into simulator sessions, joined hands‑on workshops, and connected with inspiring women shaping the future of the industry.

A special highlight: our very own Sonia Samaroo had the honor of presenting driver Nico Müller with the Pole Position Award.
