The Kampong is a historic estate and botanical garden in Miami, FL right on Biscayne Bay. The Garden. The History. The Legacy.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Kampong was the historic home and personal garden of famed plant explorer Dr. David Fairchild, and later, philanthropist and preservationist Catherine Sweeney. The waterfront estate features a Mission/Spanish Revival style house designed by Edward Clarence Dean and Fairchild's original office, now converted into a museum. The garden is renown
