Whether it’s in the County Chambers or our local neighborhoods, women are designing the blueprints for a better tomorrow.

The Miami-Dade Youth Commission Changemaker Award is a prestigious recognition presented annually to commendable students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to making a positive impact in their community. This esteemed award acknowledges the contributions of three exceptional students in grades 9-
12. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must either reside or attend school within Miami-Dade County.
What sets this award apart is its emphasis on recognizing students who have actively engaged in community service and advocacy. The criteria for qualification are deliberately broad, encompassing a wide range of community service activities, including involvement in school clubs, passion projects, church initiatives, or nonprofit organizations. The goal is to acknowledge and celebrate diverse forms of community impact initiated by the youth.
