The 5th Annual Autonomous Vehicle Conference was a pivotal one-day forum held at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus. The event connected global advancements with the practicalities of deploying autonomous systems in the U.S., fostering collaboration across policy, technology, and operations. The program included international case studies, live technology demonstrations, and practical strategies for moving autonomous pilot projects to broader, scalable services. Participants engaged in strategic discussions with leaders from transit agencies, regulatory bodies, operators, and technology innovators.

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) held a Transportation Committee Workshop at the The Greater Miami Expressway Agency (GMX) to engage with transportation leaders in a collaborative, solutions-oriented discussion.

Alongside various transportation partners, Maria T. Vilches-Landa, P.E., Miami-Dade TPO Deputy Director-Transportation, provided an update on the Miami-Dade TPO’s key priorities and initiatives, including recently adopted core documents such as the $13.9 billion FYs 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), as well as the upcoming Safe Streets Cinema series.

The GMCC Transportation Committee’s goal is to support the important work of agencies and serve as an effective partner to the transportation community. The information obtained during the workshop will help shape the GMCC Transportation Committee’s goals and workplan for the coming year.
