A visit to Olympic National Park means getting to enjoy trails to scenic lakes, walks through subalpine forests, and camping near wildflower meadows. http://cntrvlr.co/gyA8saM

This mountain range, in some places reaching a height of 2400 meters, divides the park into western and eastern parts, and is a determining factor in the difference in climatic conditions in the west and in the east. The western part of the park has a rain forest and receives the highest amount of precipitation in the country, while the eastern part has a relatively dry climate (on the West Coast of the United States, comparable only to the climate of southern California).

Another distinctive feature of the park is the diversity of plant communities in a relatively small area (3,735 km²). The park contains lakes, virgin forests, alpine meadows, more than 60 glaciers, habitats for wild animals, a section of the Pacific coast (beaches and three Indian reservations are located in the coastal part), and the Olympic Mountains are located in the central part.

There is so much snow in winter that the Olympic Mountain Range turns into a skier's paradise. The Pacific coast, which belongs to the reserve, is divided by three Indian reservations. Its beaches look simply fantastic - a bizarrely rugged rocky coast, a narrow line of sand and coniferous trees descending to the water itself.

On a relatively small area of the reserve (3,735 km²), mountains, 60 glaciers, alpine meadows and pristine lakes await the guest. But the main treasure of the Olympic Park is the Hoh Rain forest. The unique green zone stretches for 39 km along the Khokh River. And although she is located in northern Washington state, she lives according to the laws of the tropics. The high level of humidity all year round is maintained here by summer rains, autumn fogs and snowdrifts that melt in the spring.

Most of it is located on the peninsula of the same name, and the smaller part occupies a narrow strip of the Pacific coast. This isolation from the mainland caused the formation of unique flora and fauna. 8 endemic plants grow here and 15 species of animals live here, characteristic only of this area.
