We're Partnering with OutShine for Movie Night tonight - and we have two great offers!
Want to see a great LGBTQ+ themed movie at a special showing, with $5 tickets? Read on... but that's just one of the things we're invited you to do.
This e-mail is going to a special group - and you're in it.
Hello Past, Present and Future Members of the Flamingo Democrats 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
While some of us might feel safe from the politics of the moment, rest assured that they're not just coming for some of us, they're coming for all of us, where we work, where we play and where we live. Nobody is immune.
Today most of the attacks are centered on transgender Americans. But that's just today.
The community based Arts, Education and Social Service organizations that we have built, utilized and taken for granted for the past 30+ years - like OutShine - are in peril from the anti-DEI law DeSantis and his crew shoved down our throats while stealing $10 million from sick children to pay for their hate campaign.
Make no mistake, they will come after our marriages next.
Now is the time for the LGBTQ Community to get involved by supporting ALL the Democrats on the ballot. Don't let the apathy and indifference of the "Vichy G**s" persuade you to sit on the sidelines.
And, we can still have some fun while trying to save the country and our lives!
So, here's our offer, just for those in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. If you would like to reactivate your Flamingo Democrats membership or if you would like to become a new member, we're giving you that membership for the next 15 months at zero additional cost, if you join the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus.
Just click the link, choose the membership type that's best for you, and we'll add you not just to the state caucus but the Flamingo Democrats too, through the end of 2027.

And if you want to meet us for some fun, scroll down to find the details on our special $5.00 Wednesday night movie downtown. You'll meet the leadership of OutShine and some special guests - and I can tell you that the popcorn at the Silverspot Theater is first rate.
We've got elections to win - but first let's enjoy a Flamingos Night Out!
After being deported from the United States following eleven years away, Chuy returns to his hometown on Mexico's Sinaloa coast only to find it transformed by the violence of the drug trade. Reuniting with Chano, his childhood friend who has become a hitman, Chuy is forced to confront the painful secret that drove him to leave years earlier. As old loyalties, buried guilt, and the brutal realities of his homeland collide, he struggles to reclaim his identity and find a future in a place that no longer feels like home. Director Indra Villaseñor Amador delivers a powerful, character-driven portrait of displacement, friendship, and redemption.
